I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
